About Q Audio-Visual
Q Audio-Visual (Q A-V) is an independent computer consultancy which was established in 1998 to provide affordable support services to users of personal computers, especially those in small businesses.
Because Q Audio-Visual is independent of all manufacturers and suppliers, advice is totally impartial and no pressure will ever be applied to purchase additional equipment, software or services.
We specialise in system software support for Apple Mac machines running OS X but some support can also be provided for Windows PCs, especially in setting them up for Internet access. We will be happy to advise PC users as to whether or not our services are appropriate.
Q Audio-Visual is run by Vernon Quaintance, whose personal attention is guaranteed at all times.
Charges:
Fees are kept below the average for Consultancy work to make access to independent advice and services affordable by all.
Standard fees are £20 per hour on site (minimum 1/2 hour): travelling time is charged at only £15 per hour.
There are no additional call-out fees but supplements are charged for most out-of-hours or weekend work.
Special (lower) rates may be charged to educational establishments and domestic users.
Basic charges are not bulked up by including overheads which may not apply, therefore direct costs are charged for rail or air travel; as are parking charges where appropriate.

Q Audio-Visual's client list has been primarily centred around the graphic arts, photographic and video production fields, but all types of client are welcome.
